Since 2021 there has been an emerging Cost of Living Crisis that has impacted households across the country in the UK. The price of food, fuel, energy and transport have all increased at a faster rate than the income of most­ households. In South Ribble, we are trying to understand better what we can do to help our residents during the current crisis. The Office of National Statistics last published data in 2020 and at that time there were: Your Labour led council is doing everything it can locally to put in place the support our residents need. • 10,778 Households in fuel poverty (ONS 2020)

• 17,850 Households in receipt of fuel poverty and winter fuel payments (ONS 2020)

• 6 Lower Super Output Areas in the bottom 10% for deprivation nationally (IMD 2019)

• 6,838 Children living in low income Households (DWP 2020/21)

• £220k allocated towards FUEL VOUCHERS

• £220k Children eligible for the HOLIDAY ACTIVITY FOOD PROGRAMME

• 443k allocated for free HOLIDAY CLUB provision for children on FSM

• 607 families provided with free school uniforms through the UNIFORM SWAP
