Earnshaw Bridge

Earnshaw Bridge councillors Cllr. Lou Jackson and Cllr. Colin Sharples spent a pleasant morning appreciating the recently planted wildflower meadow on Western Drive and the resurfaced footway beside the River Lostock. Cllr. Sharples said, “I think there’s something amazing about seeing a flash of colour from wildflowers. Apart from the numerous biodiversity benefits, there is an array of physical and mental health benefits too. It’s pleasing that local residents can enjoy nature and appreciate these colourful havens. The new tarmac surfaced footway beside the River Lostock is a great improvement. Much better for pushchairs, prams, bicycles etc. Better underfoot too, and much nicer on the eye”.
