Penwortham

Penwortham will be receiving £2m for a regeneration plan as well as improving playgrounds at:

  • Birch Avenue
  • Margaret Road
  • King George V playgroundWe are investing more at Hurst Grange Park, ponds and access. We are also working with our friends on the Town Council to upgrade the Community Centre on Kingsfold Drive.We have already announced investment in Vernon Carus in conjunction with Andrew Flintoff

Leyland

• Begin the £25 million refurbishment of Leyland Town Centre
• Complete the refurbishment of Strawberry Valley Park on Bent Lane • Improve the toddler playground on Ryden Avenue
• Completely refurbish the Playground on Moss Side Green
• Continue Extra Care Scheme – West Paddock
• Stage Music in the Park as part of the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations • Complete the Refurbishment of Worden Hall
• Improve Moss Side Community Centre

Bamber Bridge, Walton-Le-Dale, Salmesbury and Gregson Lane

  • Radically improve the park at the Holme and Mounsey Road in Bamber Bridge
  • Start work on 15 new family homes on the old McKenzie Arms site
  • Invest in the Leisure Centre on Brindle Road
  • Invest in the playground at Gregson Lane
  • Develop 3G Football pitches and Pavilion in Bamber Bridge

Lostock Hall & Farington

  • Invested in the much loved Farington Lodges
  • Improved pathways and access to Farington Lodges
  • Improved signage at Farington Lodges
  • Invested in Leisure Local at Lostock Hall Academy
  • Tardy Gate Play Area to go on playground refurbishment programme
  • South Ribble continue to support the residents ofPickering’s Farm / Bee Lane Housing Development Withy Grove

Much Hoole & Longton

We have given and loaned money to Much Hoole Village Memorial Hall Trustees to see their new village hall completed. The trustees said ‘We would not have been able to do it without the council’.

Lostock Hall & Farington

We have also invested in Longton VM Bowling Green and Social Club.
